Orienteering on your mountain bike using both the specialist MTB trails at QECP as well as all the other tracks.

What3words is wishes.snowmen.agreed Once in the park follow O signs on road and drive up to the top of the hill and park in Juniper car park. Please note normal car parking charges do apply, the system is fully automated and only takes cards, cash not accepted. It is £5 for 2hrs or £7 for 4 hrs. There is a free 20 min drop off or collect period.

Terrain
The map is heavily wooded with very deep valleys and high spurs to the north, the southern area is less steep but has some felled areas which are marked on the map, water features minimal at this time of the year. The courses all start at the top of the hill to minimise the climb. Dogs are permitted out on the courses

Scale 1:10,000 overprinted on waterproof paper. Loose control descriptions will be provided at the start.

Timing
Registration: 1045 - 1430 hrs.
Everyone MUST go to Registration before starting to collect their etag

Starts: 1100 - 1430 hrs
Courses Close: 1530 hrs.

COVID-19 Health Screening
Please note that on pre-entry you will be required to answer and comply with an online COVID-19 health screening questionnaire. You will not be allowed to enter the event if you are required to self-isolate because you have or might have COVID-19.

Conduct
You must adhere to the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct.

Free MTBO entry
Anyone who enters any course can then have a free entry to the MTBO cse, just email allan@emit-uk.com that you need an MTBO map.

Dress
Full leg and arm cover is mandatory; that means no shorts or vests. Whistles are compulsory. Available for £1 in registration queue.

Results
Results live online at www.baoc.info.

Facilities
Toilets and a food kiosk are located in Juniper car park at the top of the hill, there is a bigger main cafe at the entrance. There is also a dog activity area beside the approach car parks and an assault course near the finish, competitors are requested to not attempt the course until after their run as it is within the competition area.

Civilian Participation
For civilians participating in Army orienteering, Public Liability Insurance is provided by Towergate; individuals are advised to have their own private accident insurance. This event is conducted iaw British Orienteering Rules 2019 and land booked iaw the AOA DIO Licence and JSP907.

Personal Responsibility
Orienteering in the Army is classed as individual military training. Competitors are responsible for their own personal safety and for assessing their own abilities to complete the course.

Use of personal data
The personal data you give at Registration will be used by the event organisers and their agents for the purpose of processing and publishing entries and results, conducting safety checks and as required by our insurers to validate our cover. Your information will be managed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
