Priory Park Score Event

Sunday 13th February

Please note that as we have already ordered the maps, entries are now limited.

Don't worry about which start time you choose
- starts can be flexible as numbers are low.

A 45 or 60 minute Score Event with alternative Colour Coded courses - Yellow (2k), Orange (2.5k) and Long Orange (4.8k for novice adults)
Priory Park offers a surprisingly challenging area combining a typical urban park with a forested ridge offering more technical terrain. The woodland is mainly runnable and the ridge includes some steep gradients.

Two Score Course Options are available. A 'Classic' 45 minute score - find as many controls as possible in the time allowed; and a 60 minute 'Odds and Evens' event - start with either odd or even numbered controls and switch to the others when you deem best (you can only switch once). The planner has estimated that the optimum route to achieve all the controls on the 'Odds and Evens' course would involve 7.6km and 325m climb!

The Yellow and Orange courses are aimed at youngsters and/or beginners, whilst the Long Orange offers a suitable introduction for adults trying out orienteering but looking for a longer run.
