This October, take on a challenge that means more than miles.
The 10 Days of 5K Challenge is a special Running Bug virtual challenge created to support Cancer Research UK, raise money for life-saving cancer research and help spread awareness of cancer.
Complete 5K on 10 different days during October. You can run, jog or walk your 5K wherever suits you — around your local streets, at the park, on a treadmill or even while you’re away.
Every kilometre represents something bigger.
Every entry helps us support an organisation working to beat cancer.
And every person who takes part helps us spread the message even further. ????????️
RUNNING FOR CANCER RESEARCH UK
This challenge is particularly important to us at The Running Bug.
During October, Andrew, owner of The Running Bug, will personally be taking part in Stand Up To Cancer’s 10 Days of 5K Challenge, raising money for Cancer Research UK through his own Giving Page.
Rather than taking on the challenge alone, we wanted to invite the entire Running Bug community to get involved.
Whether cancer has affected you personally, someone in your family, a friend or somebody you know, this is an opportunity for us to come together as a running community and do something positive.
PROFITS DONATED TO CANCER RESEARCH UK
Profits from this virtual race will be donated to Cancer Research UK through Andrew’s Giving Page.
You can also make an additional donation directly to Andrew’s fundraising page if you would like to support his personal 10 Days of 5K challenge:

Every donation, every share and every 5K can help make a difference.
WHAT’S INVOLVED?
Your challenge is simple:
Complete 5K on 10 different days during October
You can:
Run
Jog
Walk
Complete your challenge outdoors or on a treadmill
Choose your own routes
Complete your 5Ks at your own pace
You don’t need to be the fastest runner.
You don’t need to race against anybody else.
This challenge is about commitment, raising awareness and coming together for an important cause.
Complete your ten 5Ks, submit your evidence to The Running Bug and celebrate an achievement that means so much more than the medal at the finish.
WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE
Everyone who enters and completes the 10 Days of 5K Challenge will receive:
PREMIUM FINISHER MEDAL
A specially designed 10 Days of 5K Challenge premium medal, created around the cancer-awareness theme.
A powerful reminder of the 50 kilometres you completed and the cause you supported along the way.
SUPPORT CANCER RESEARCH
Profits from race entries will be donated to Cancer Research UK through Andrew’s Giving Page, helping turn your challenge into a contribution towards an incredibly important cause.
HELP SPREAD AWARENESS
Every time you share one of your 5Ks, talk about the challenge or show somebody your medal, you are helping to start conversations and raise awareness.
GIVE YOURSELF A GOAL
Ten 5Ks gives you something positive to work towards throughout October.
Whether you are an experienced runner or someone looking for a reason to get moving, the challenge can help provide motivation and accountability.
BE PART OF SOMETHING TOGETHER
Andrew will be completing the challenge himself through Stand Up To Cancer, and we would love as many members of The Running Bug community as possible to join him.
