A series of 5 street orienteering events using GPS (Maprun). Running Thursday evenings every few weeks at locations across Berkshire.

Events use the free GPS app Maprun.

Events run every 2 or 4 weeks on Thursday evening. Maprun will also be available after the event.

2nd July - Woosehill
16th July Thatcham
13th August Great Hollands
27th August Maidenhead
10th September Caversham


Events use either ISSprOM (Sprint specification) or Openorienteering streetmaps.


Note that all events involve road crossings and competitors under 16 should be accompanied by someone over 16.

Short
Entered: 0
Under 16 competitors must be accompanied by an adult

Medium
Entered: 0
Under 16 competitors must be accompanied by an adult

Long
Entered: 0
Under 16 competitors must be accompanied by an adult


Three courses are available with approximate lengths:

Long: 6 km
Medium: 4 km
Short: 2 km
Entry Fees
Adults £3.50 + £1 if not a member of British Orienteering.
Juniors (Under 21) and Full time students (any age) £2.50
Event Information
These events use GPS punching using the free maprun App. There will be no kites or markers placed on the course.

1. Ensure you have maprun installed on your phone . (You can do this on the night but will need a reasonably strong mobile signal). See https://www.goorienteering.org.uk/virtual-orienteering-courses for instructions to download an install maprun.
2. Download the course (via given link or navigate to folder UK>Berkshire>BKO Training 2026 within the app.)
The course pin and map will be given to you on the night.

Water: Please bring water to stay hydrated after running.

Conduct:
You must adhere to the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct
Please note that smoking or vaping is not allowed at the event.
