Juniors are under 18 on 31st December.

£12 entry for BO members. £14 entry fee for non-BO members. Juniors £5.00.
Touch Free EMIT included along with the hire of the controls and EMIT results processing.
After 1st June entries will re-open for late entries (subject to map availability) but at £14 for BOF members, £16 for non-BOF members and Juniors £7.00.

Event Information
Directions
The event centre is the The Greyhound, 46 Winchester Street, Overton, Basingstoke, RG25 3HS.

Easiest access from the A303 Micheldever Station and Overton exit, head north to Overton along Sapley Lane which is a narrow road in places. Please be careful of oncoming traffic. Alternative routes from the North via B3051 from Kingsclere or from West or East via B3400.

Overton Station is 1.0 mile to the North of the event centre.

Stagecoach Bus service 76 operates between Basingstoke & Andover along B3400.

Parking
There are 2 free car parks (limited spaces) on the east side of Overton on the B3400. There is free street parking on Dellands and Sapley Lane and on side roads to the south west of the pub.

Courses
Beginners are welcome to try the courses, please ask for assistance when you arrive. The courses rank from easy to hard, just bring a compass (one can be lent if you do not have one) and give it a go. No problem if you want to go round with other people.
Young Juniors Course
Course 7 uses local residential roads with limited traffic. Start will be limitted to be between 10:30 and 11:30 to enable manning of a mandatory crossing point.

If you have concerns about crossing roads then we advise having an adult shadow the junior.
Start/Finish
The Start is 800m from assembly (allow 15 minutes) and the Finish 50m from assembly.

EMIT contactless eCards (hire included) will be used on all courses. Everyone must report promptly to Download.
Registration
10:00 to 12:00 for Touch Free eCard collection and Enquiries. EOD subject to map availability, see racesignup on the day.
Starts
10:30 to 12:30. Please note limited times for younger Juniors.

No set times just go the start when ready.

Control descriptions will be available in the start lanes.
Results
Results on the day will be directly available on race-results.info.

Full final results and Routegadget will be available on/from the BADO website.
Courses close
Promptly at 14:00 please. You must report to download before you leave the event.
Facilities
We are thankful for the The Greyhound for welcoming us to use their facility where there are toilets and refreshments. To show our thanks we encourage people to buy drinks or food in the Pub. Carolynn the Landlady has offered a 10% discount on food ordered by an orienteer, just show your map.

Please be courteous to other users and Locals in the vicinity.
Conduct
Please make yourself aware of and abide by the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct.
Dogs
The Greyhound is dog friendly.

Dogs are allowed, but under strict control and on a lead at all times. Please clean up after your dog.
Clothing and equipment
The area is suitable for running shoes, the majority of the running can be made on hard surfaces. Shorts and vests are permitted.
Planners Notes
Please observe all objects marked as uncrossable and do not enter any out-of-bounds areas.

A black cross x on the map denotes a bench seat.

There is a steep bank that runners on courses 1 and 2 may cross, marked as a crag on the map. There are 2 paths marked on the map where the crag can be crossed.
Risk
Orienteering is an adventure sport; you are responsible for your own safety at the event and must not do anything that puts yourself or others at unnecessary risk. Please remember that COVID has not gone away, please respect those that want to be socially distanced.
Insurance
The British Orienteering insurance policy provides public liability cover. Please note that if you have competed in three orienteering events and have not joined an orienteering club that is a member of British Orienteering, then you are not covered by this insurance.
