BOF insurance changes
From 1st January 2026, participants who are not members of British Orienteering will no longer be covered by British Orienteering’s public liability insurance. By entering this event, you acknowledge that you are taking part at your own risk. For example, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the event, you would not be covered.
Location & Parkng
Registration will be near the entrance to The Licks Car Park which is in the centre of Otley, just off Cattle Market Street.
The X84 from Leeds bus station/Ilkley stops in Otley.
Clothing and equipment
Bring a torch and a pen - dibber not required
Juniors (-16) must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
Hi Viz clothing and whistle recommended.
Travel
Please car share wherever possible. You can sign up to the Car Sharing scheme - login to the event on Racesignup to join.
Timings
Registration 6.30 - 6.55
Mass start - 7.00
Please be back to registration by 8:15pm at the latest.
1 minute penalty for each minute or part minute late.
First Aid and A&E
First Aid is available at the Finish.
Terrain
Urban terrain - please take care crossing roads.
U16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Conduct
Please make yourself aware of and abide by the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct (revised August 2021).
