Welcome to our pre-AGM event. The AGM will be in the Otley Labour Rooms, starting at 20:00 with (free) pizza beforehand. We will collect numbers for pizza orders beforehand. As always, there are committee vacancies for anyone interested. You don’t need to be an orienteering expert to be involved.
Location/Parking
Car park at the Charles Street/Walker gate junction (Walkergate parking) and on local streets. Please park with consideration of residents.
Timings
EOD Registration: From 18.20 to 19:00
Starts from 18:30 to 19:15
Courses close: 20:15 at which point controls will be collected in and all should have reported back to registration.
Courses and map availability
2 courses with SI for start and finish. There are no flagged controls, but there will be a Q&A sheet for information which can only be found at each control site. Please bring a pen. The format is a Norwegian score event which means you visit all the controls on the map, but in whichever order you want. The winner is the fastest orienteerer around all the controls.

Long (Sprint) course approx. 5.5km (running distance) (40 maps). Short course approx. 3km (15 maps).
Terrain
Urban/streets. Full leg cover is not required.
Safety
For both courses, under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult – there are street crossings.

Headtorches recommended as it is getting quite dark around 19:00 now..

You will need to bring or hire a dibber to punch the start and finish.
Shorts may be worn at your discretion. Whistles should be carried. In adverse weather we may ask you to wear a cagoule or similar waterproof top.
