Event Information
Welcome to the first of our summer events. Two courses a long and a short. The long course will have three random controls which you have to look out for and dib.
Location/Parking
Directions / Parking
Registration is in the car park outside Fieldhead Carr Primary School, off Naburn Approach.
Please use the large car park immediately on the left hand side as you turn off Naburn Approach. An electric charging point is available.
Multiple bus services stop at the turning circle adjacent to the school - including line 16 from the centre of Leeds.
Timings
EOD Registration: From 18.20 to 19:05
Starts from 18:30 to 19:15
Courses close: 20:15 at which point controls will be collected in and all should have reported back to registration.
Courses and map availability
There will be 2 sprint courses:
Long: 3.5km (40 maps)
Short: 2.2km (15 maps)
These are "straight-line" distances - you will need to run further.
Both courses cross public roads so U16s will need to be accompanied.
A dibber is required for the start and finish on both courses. On the long course there will be three randomly placed controls for you to punch. On the short course there will be two controls for you to punch (shared with the long course).

Availability: Long = 40 maps, Short = 15 maps
Scale and Control descriptions will be printed on the map.
Terrain
Urban and Parkland. Running on streets and pavement including alleyways and narrow passages, with some playing fields.
No significant vegetation, so full leg cover is not required.
Please be careful crossing roads and be considerate to pedestrians, especially where paths and pavements are narrow.
Safety
U16 on the sprint course will need to be accompanied by an adult
Clothing and equipment
The long course will have three random controls on which you have to look out for so you will need to bring or hire a dibber.
Shorts may be worn at your discretion. Whistles should be carried. In adverse weather we may ask you to wear a cagoule or similar waterproof top.
