Event Information

Location
Please use the main car park for Alice Holt Activity Centre. You will be given a code which will allow you to park for all day for £5.
Enquiries / dibber hire is at W3W clenching.many.spruced (in the same building as the bike hire)

Terrain
Mixed, mainly conifer forest. Generally flat with an extensive ditch network and a few incised streams. The forest has gradually matured over the years so that several areas that were previously mapped as slow run are now faster with little ground cover. The courses are planned to make the best use of these and to avoid the slower terrain.

Planner's Notes
The (Short) Brown, Blue, Green and Short / Light Green courses cross a minor road within the park. You will cross this close to the entry barrier where the traffic should be moving slowly, but competitors should still take care.

The road on the east edge of the map is busy with fast-moving traffic. It is marked as a forbidden route on all competition maps and is not the optimum route for any leg.

In many place, ditches are in a trunk / branch pattern. Where this occurs, the 'trunk' ditch is distinct even at race pace. The 'branch' ditches are sometimes small. They can be followed at race pace but it is possible to cross them without noticing if you are not careful.

Courses
We recognise that the (Short) Brown course at 7.4km is shorter than a Brown course would normally be, but this will keep you to the lovely areas of Alice Holt. This course will still count as Brown for the SCOL

Sportident timing will be used - SIAC touch-free will be enabled.

Facilities
Toilets and cafe are available in the Alice Holt activity centre
