Terrain Details
Pheasanthouse Farm & Heather Hills are part of the Danbury Ridge Nature Reserves Complex, predominantly managed by the Essex Wildlife Trust.
The area is undulating mature deciduous woodland to the east of Baddow Ridge, one of the higher points in Essex – there are contours! Varied terrain with established path network.
Mappers notes
The area to the East and South East of the farm has many holly bushes. In the area where they are prolific, single trees are not mapped. Where they form groups that are hard to navigate between, those areas are blocks of green. The density of the green is hopefully a guide as to runnability between them.
Holly bushes appear in the control descriptions as thickets.
