Bridgwater Town Urban Orienteering Event
Bridgwater Town Urban Orienteering Event
Part of the SEOUL league 2025.
This event will also host the second day of the finals of the English Universities Orienteering Cup
Full range of adult and junior courses at A3 and A4 sizes respectively on waterproof pre-printed maps all at 1:5000 scale.
Note that, as per BOF rule B10.8, juniors 16 and below on the day are restricted to the appropriate age related junior courses only which do not include any road running and unmanned road crossings.
For this event we will have exclusive use of the 1610 Robert Blake & Elmwood Leisure Centre as a base. The sport centre offers toilets. Registration and download will both be here with the start and finish close by. There is plenty of free parking on-site and also on surrounding streets should the centre parking be full.
Sportident electronic timing will be used with all controls enabled for contactless punching (start and finish MUST however be manually punched)

Juniors are under 22 on 31st December. The second price stated is for non-BOF affiliated entries with a surcharge applied.
BOF registered seniors £12.00, juniors (21 and below on the day + students) £5.00.
Late entries (after 17/3/25) and EOD are subject to an additional £1.00 for adults and £1.00 for juniors
Groups (max 2 adults + 2 juniors) with 2 maps max £7.00 (late entry £9.00). Groups are restricted to the two junior courses only: (M/W16-) or (M/W12-)
Novice adults (age 22plus) are also restricted to the above two junior courses only.
Standard SI card hire is free. SIAC contactless card £2.00 (failure to return hire cards will incur a replacement cost of £30 for a standard card, £80 for a SIAC.)
COVID-19
You must not attend if you or a member of your household has COVID-19 symptoms, if you have been asked to isolate by NHS Test and Trace, or if you are required to quarantine having been on holiday.

Parking
Free parking is available close to the Event Centre.

1:5,000 scale with 5m contours, Surveyed Summer 2024 Overprinted on waterproof paper. Size A4/A3. Control descriptions will be on the map and loose at the start
Starts
In 15 minute blocks between 11.00 and 13.00. Courses close at 14.30. Start and Finish near to the Event Centre.
