We asked for your vote and you told us you wanted it, so Spider Hill is on again in 2024!
Spider Hill at Long Valley is yet another great challenging route! A single 10K lap route including Alligator Swamp, Swan Lake, Muddy Mile and Duck Pond. This is our wettest Brutal race and a favourite amongst our regular Brutaleers!
In 2022 we added a 5K route option for the first time. This is a shortened version of the main 10K route. You will still get the mud, water and hills, just in a smaller dose!
The route has a gentle run out to a steep climb, before heading up and out into the open through a series of climbs and a couple of marshes, to the 5km point. Then heading for the wet and into the first cooling marsh, through that and in quick succession it’s into Alligator Swamp, followed by Swan Lake. Drop down onto the Muddy Mile with two steep climb outs, there is a view for many miles at the 8km point. Next heading for the Duck Pond and a wee bit more wet, onto a very steep short uphill followed by a fast descent and onto another couple of testing hills before heading back to the finish.
Brutal HQ are partnering with Havant and East Hants Mind adding to HEH Mind’s Charity of the Year Partnerships for 2024.
This collaboration, set to commence on January 1st 2024, will see all Brutal Run events throughout the year serve as platforms for fundraising and donations to support the invaluable mental health services provided by HEH Mind.

Timings
Registration will begin from 0815 where you will collect your race number. The event will start at 1000 for both distances.
We will communicate final details on the day prior to the race. Timings and details are subject to change so please make sure you read the email that comes out then.
What3words location is ///barn.agents.entry. This will take you to the entrance to the event off Bourley Road where you will have a short drive up a track to the arena.
Event Withdrawl
If you find you are no longer able to attend the event then you can withdraw your entry up until 1400 on the Thursday prior to the event. This is done via the online entry page selecting the option to amend your entry and then selecting the button to withdraw. Your account will be automatically credited with the entry amount for you to use at another Brutal event (it will not be refunded). If you plan to withdraw please do so in good time in case you encounter any issues so you don't miss the deadline.
