Google Maps
The competition is on the Burley West map, last used for the November Classic in 2025. The area is a mix of ancient and managed woodland and open heathland. The map is from a new and full survey carried out last year.
Please note there will be a walk of 1.7K or 20/25 mins approx. from Parking and Assembly to the Start. If this is a concern, you may wish to consider whether it is possible for someone in your party to drop you off off at the tiny Woods Corner paying FE car park before returning to Burley Park.
Getting to the event
Public Transport: Brockenhurst Railway Station is eight miles from the event centre. There are hourly trains from London and Bournemouth. We will proactively seek to match those arriving at Brockenhurst with drivers offering a lift through the Racesignup Car Share Scheme. If you are travelling by train and arriving at Brockenhurst, please join the Car Share Scheme as a passenger using the postcode SO42. There is a 6.5 mile cycle between the station and the event.
Public transport update: Please note that engineering works planned for the day mean that journeys from the North and The East may be affected. Please check before travelling.
Driving: The event centre and parking are at Burley Park, on Chapel Lane near the Queens Head Pub.
Parking: All cars are to be parked at the event centre. There is a £4 charge per car for parking which we ask that you pay when you enter the event.
Car Share: You can sign up to the Car Share on Racesignup. Please consider this if you have available space in your car. We will be proactively matching drivers to passengers.

Terrain and Out of Bounds
An area of open undulating heathland with some marshes and a large runnable woodland with occasional areas of fight, all crisscrossed by rides/tracks and paths. There are a few gated and fenced enclosures. The heathland is mainly heather and some areas of gorse. Controls on thickets are mostly rhododendrons in the forest and mostly gorse in the open.
Large and small areas of environmental interest along with many rides have been specified as out of bounds by Forestry England. These areas are marked on the map and you must keep out of them. The out of bounds rides are marked on the map with the forbidden route sign, purple crosses. You are not allowed to run along the forbidden routes.
Dogs
We are sorry but no dogs are allowed in the competition area.
