A Club National race hosted by Cardiff Ski Club and Dragons Alpine.

Entries close Friday May 8th 2026 at 4pm (16.00h).
Late entries accepted until Wednesday May 13th 2026 at 4pm (16.00h).

There will be two practice sessions run by North Wales Ski Club available from 5.30-7.00pm and 7.00-8.30pm on Friday 15th May. Numbers are strictly limited. Click here for further information

Courses

Club National - U14 and above
Entry limit: 140

U10 & U12 Stubby Slalom
Entry limit: 40


Race Format
The Club National events consist of three runs down the same course and is open to U14 and older racers. Prizes will be awarded based on the best time from the first two runs plus the time from the third.

U10/U12 races will be run using stubby gates, with three runs down the same course and prizes awarded based on the best time from any run.

When you arrive at the entrance to the Grand Hotel, take the LEFT TURN’ up the hill onto ALEX MUNRO WAY. Continue up and through Happy Valley Gardens and you will arrive in the Car Park (charges apply).

Slope Rules
• Access to the slope is for officials, accredited coaches and racers only.
• Car Parking charges now apply you must pay on arrival and enter your vehicle registration number. Please park as shown below to facilitate as many vehicles as possible safely.
• During open practice and inspection bibs MUST BE WORN so that the number is visible from back and front.
Racers without a bib will be asked to leave the slope.
• Inspection on foot by racers is not permissible.
• Helmets and gloves must be worn by anyone on skis at all times whilst on the slope.

The site sits within the Great Orme Country Park which is designated as a SSSI site. Some of the rules below are drafted in accordance with strict local council rules and bylaws. Any failing to adhere to the regs below will be asked to leave site.
• No overnight camping.
• No open fires, BBQ’s or other forms of cooking allowed in the open.
• All vehicles MUST be parked alongside each other (not longways)
• No awnings or marquees in car park area.
• Ski Servicing. Waxing irons must be PAT compliant. Waxing benches must be placed on a ground sheet in the designated area beside the ski centre and shavings removed.
• Competitors wishing to ascend the slope by foot can do so by the path running alongside the tow lift only.
ANYONE FOUND CROSSING THE TOBOGGAN TRACK WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE SITE AND MAY CAUSE THE RACE TO BE CANCELLED.
• We kindly ask that you use the bins provided for site-purchased food/drink. Please remove your own rubbish on
the day (we will happily provide bin bags for you to do so).
• Any accidents or incidents must be reported to the Snowsports Centre Duty Manager.
• Car Parking - As shown below to facilitate as many vehicles as possible safely.
