Clissold Park

Dartford Orienteers invite you to the penultimate event in the Park Race series in an area used primarily for schools orienteering previously. Clissold Park is largely open parkland with several interesting features including a mansion, lakes, a water fountain, skateboarding area and an adventure playground. For newcomers, guidance on what to do will be provided both in advance and on the day.

Courses
There are two courses available:
Short - 2.5k
Long - 5.0k
Course lengths are based on straight line distance measurement so actual distance covered will be greater
Expected winning time on the Long course of 20-25 minutes

Our event centre is the Clissold Park Tavern, 177 Green Lanes, Taverner Square, Highbury, London N16 9DB.
There is an extensive food menu, with pizza specialities, served until late.
Coming by public transport is recommended due to likely slow journey times for many although there is free parking after 6:30pm in nearby streets. See the DFOK website www.dfok.co.uk for public transport suggestions and use google maps or equivalent on the day to determine your optimal route from your starting point.

Control descriptions are printed on the map and loose control descriptions will be available in the start lanes.

Results will not be on display at the event but you can access live results from a QR code which will be on your map or from the DFOK website during and after the event www.dfok.co.uk.
