Dartford Orienteers invite you to the penultimate event in the Park Race series in an area used primarily for schools orienteering previously. Clissold Park is largely open parkland with several interesting features including a mansion, lakes, a water fountain, skateboarding area and an adventure playground. For newcomers, guidance on what to do will be provided both in advance and on the day.

Courses

There are two courses available:

Short - 2.5k

Long - 5.0k

Course lengths are based on straight line distance measurement so actual distance covered will be greater

Expected winning time on the Long course of 20-25 minutes

Seniors £6 Juniors £3
Additional £2 for seniors if not a member of British Orienteering

Electronic timing chip hire:
- standard non-contactless £1
- contactless £2.50 (first 10 only)
Event Information

Safety
You must not attend if you or a member of your household has COVID-19 symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19.

You must adhere to the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct.

Map
There is a map at 1:4,000 scale drawn to ISSOM standards and printed on waterproof paper.

Start and finish
The start and finish are both 500m from the event centre.

Electronic punching
Contactless punching will be facilitated but it is a Punching Start and Finish.

Control descriptions
Control descriptions are printed on the map and loose control descriptions will be available in the start lanes.

Results
Results will not be on display at the event but you can access live results from a QR code which will be on your map or from the DFOK website during and after the event www.dfok.co.uk.
