Dougalston - Winter Series #1

This is the first event of the CLYDE 2025 Winter Series.
Please note that under 16s can only take part as a pair with an experienced orienteer.
Terrain: The Dougalston area is a mixture of golf course, parkland, and a small residential area on the NE edge of Milngavie.
This event is based at Dougalston Golf Club. The nearest railway station is Milngavie (2km) Starts between18:30 -19:00. Courses close at 20:00.
2 courses (Long, Short) are available.
Controls are marked with reflective markers only (no SI units). Head torch compulsory.
Map / Terrain
New 1:7,500 map of the Dougalston area to ISOM 2017-2 standard by Klaas Wynne (2024). Uses 5m contours and 2.5m form lines. The course maps will be A4 and printed on waterproof paper. The control descriptions will be printed on the map (no loose control descriptions).
