East Pennine Orienteering Club are excited to invite you to the 3rd our Winter/Spring Moving with a Map series of high quality Calderdale focussed Orienteering events.
This event is SmAppO 2.
This will be a score event using an enlarged version of the OS 1:25,000 map of the Luddenden Valley. We will be using the MapRun app, of which more details will follow in the final details.
Starts 14:00 to 14:45
We have a 60 minutes, 90 minutes and 120 minutes options. If doing the 120 minutes please start no later than 14:15.
We will be based at the excellent Midgley Community Room where we will be offering either a meat or veggie pie with peas or beans. Please reserve these with your pre -entrie. Drinks and other refreshments will be available on the day.
All checkpoints are on obvious features, but to make you more comfortable, they will be marked with a red coloured O. There will be checkpoints suitable for beginner navigators, improvers and plenty to keep the seasoned orienteer satisfied. Walk with family or friends, or run solo, or in pairs or a group.
