“Score” means there is no set course. Your map will show several controls, you choose which and how many to visit. You get points for each control you do visit and lose points if you take more than an hour.
- up to 15x: (“reds”, then optional colour*)
- Once all 15 reds have been visited; then the colours* in ascending order of value; yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and black.
Additional notes/explanation:
- Each red may only be visited once, subsequent visits will not be counted.
- Colours* may be visited multiple times
- Visiting two consecutive colours* before all 15 reds have been collected is a foul and will result in the loss of four points
- Once all 15 reds have been visited, visiting the colours in the incorrect order is a foul and will result in the loss of four points per infraction.
- Scoring:
- Red – 1 point
- Colours* – Yellow = 2, Green = 3, Brown = 4, Blue = 5, Pink = 6, Black = 7
- You lose points if you take more than an hour (penalty rate to be confirmed).
*”Colour” means one of yellow, green, brown, blue, pink or black (except on the final red, where yellow cannot be chosen)
Example of a correct (no foul) sequence: red, blue, red, yellow, red, green, red, green, red, black, red, yellow, red, green, red, brown, red, blue then back to the finish. Score assuming not late: 43 points
