Courses distances subject to controlling.
Courses offered are based on current SEOA guidelines for SE League events. Note that BOF have changed the recommended Course/age class combinations, so please check your course choice carefully. Competitors may, however, enter the course of their choice. For the League if you want to enter a different course this is not a problem but note that if running down you will still get some points, just not quite as many.
Yellow, Orange and Score courses most suitable for beginners, and family groups.

If you need to withdraw prior to the event, you will automatically receive a credit note for use against future Saxon events.
Parking/Transport/Facilities
Parking will be on grass off a hard surface track, follow the instructions from the Marshalls and if there is any possibility of getting stuck or churning up the grass, STOP and find a Marshall who will help you with your car. It’s important that we don’t damage the grass.
We are able to accommodate a small number of mini-buses larger vehicles with track-edge parking. Please contact the organiser in advance if you are intending to bring a mini-bus or campervan, (no coaches please as we are unable to accommodate these).
The closest train station is Frant station in Bells Yew Green, this is approximately 4.3km from the event entrance.
There will be portable toilets available, but no other facilities. Please take all litter home with you.
Newcomers and Beginners
If you are new to Orienteering and would like some additional help before attending an event, please check the appropriate box on the entry form and the event organiser will be in touch. There are also some helpful youtube introductory videos to watch. One by a nearby London club Newcomer Guide and another from a Manchester based club Getting Started
Timing, Start/Finish and Race Information
Contactless electronic timing enabled for the event, (SIAC), although a basic timing dibber can also be used, (basic timing devices provided free of charge if you don't have one). Punching Start & Finish.
Enquiries opens at 9.30am. Starts 10am-12.30pm - allocated start times which you select on entry. Start is 500m from Enquiries, please allow enough time to get to your start. If you miss your allocated slot, you will be allocated the next available time. Finish is 400m from Download. Courses close 2pm. Please remember to download before you leave.
The Black, Brown, Short Brown, and Blue courses will use a 1:10,000 scale A3 map, while the other courses will have a 1:7,500 scale A4 map.
Conduct
You must adhere to the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct.
Results
Results will not be on display at the event. Split prints available. Final results will be posted to Saxons website after the event.
