A track day for small wheels. For those feeling sporty there will be a timed marathon with downloadable certificates for all finishers and 6 hour distance totals available. For those feeling more chilled a chance to skate on smooth tarmac as much or as little as they want.

Minimum age 11 years old.

Courses

Race skate inline

Race skate quad

Race skate longboard

Race roller ski

Social skate

The Castle Combe race circuit is 1.85 miles in length, hence a marathon is 14 and a bit laps. The start will be at the 'bit' distance before the finish arch, so you will need to pass under the finish arch 15 times to complete the marathon. If you lose count there will be staff on hand to remind you how many laps you have done.
Racing will start at 09:30.

Entry Fees
Racing skater (race number and downloadable certificate): £35

Social skater (track access only): £25

Optional Event T-Shirt: £20

There is no charge for spectators

Race Skate - allows access to the track from 09:00 to 17:00 on event day plus electronically timed result for marathon distance and 6 hours and downloadable certificate for marathon time.

Rules:
1. Helmets are to be worn at all times when skating on the track and in the pit area. Elbow pads, knee pads and gloves are recommended.
2. The marathon distance equates to 14.16 laps of the track, hence race will start part way round the track. Racers must pass through the finish arch each lap to ensure that lap is counted by the timing equipment. At the time of writing I am working with the timing service to give text alerts at various points such as one lap to go.
3. Racers should keep to the inside of the track and social skaters to the outside. Social skaters should give way to racers when required. All skaters should take care when leaving or joining the track.
4. No in-ear speakers are to be used on the track. Racers, you need to be aware of what’s happening around you. Social skaters, be sociable and talk to the people near you.
5. Social skaters will be allowed on the track 10-15 minutes after the race start, once the racers have spread out sufficiently.
6. Race numbers should be clearly displayed on the front of the skater’s torso.
7. Consumption of alcohol or recreational drugs during or immediately prior to the event is prohibited.
8. Only skaters wearing an event wrist band will be allowed on the track.
9. Anyone caught flouting these rules or engaging in conduct detrimental to the smooth and peaceful running of the event may be asked to leave the site.
