Greater Manchester Summer MapRun Series - Pennington Flash
Tuesday 26th May
Manchester and District and South East Lancashire Orienteering Clubs invite you to get out and explore 10 beautiful parks across Greater Manchester this summer with our MapRun series.
On offer is a choice of three short courses for just one entry fee – navigate your way around as many as you want!
Suitable for all abilities and ages.
Great fun for families, small groups and individuals. Try one course, have a cup of tea and a chat at the café and then try another.
If you haven’t orienteered before or are inexperienced there will be someone at Registration to assist you, and the MapRun App can be set to show you your whereabouts as you make your way round the course.
Experienced orienteers and runners have a serious workout opportunity in glorious parkland.

There will be three separate MapRun courses at each event with a total distance about 9km.
MapRun is a free App which you use on your Smart Phone. The app you want is the current version of MapRun, called MapRun by FNE Enterprises and you can download this from you APP. Store. There are several websites where you can obtain further information to get you started. A typical one from Border Liners Orienteering Club can be found here.
Paper maps will be available for inspection at registration to help you choose the course or courses you want to navigate.
