Initial advance entries close at midnight on Monday 15th September. Limited further advance entries with waterproof maps will be available until midnight on Thursday 18th September. There will be entry on the day (EOD) subject to map availability (likely for a restricted set of courses).

Entry on the Day (EOD) will be accepted at the event subject to maps being available - payment by card or cash (or bank transfer after). You are encouraged to pre-enter to guarantee a map.

Full details are on the event webpage. Please read these before you enter and again before the day to check for updates, in case the weather has affected the event. Start times are between 11am and 1pm - you should select a start time on the entry form once you have chosen your course.

Courses

White (easiest) 1.3km
Technically easy with most controls on paths. Where paths don’t exist, a taped route may be necessary. Designed for 6-10-year-olds and family groups.

Yellow 2.0km
Uses linear features like paths, walls, and streams. Designed for under 12s and family groups.

Orange 2.7km
Involves basic use of the compass and route choice. Ideal for competent youngsters or novice adults.

Involves basic use of the compass and route choice. Ideal for competent youngsters or novice adults who would like a longer run with simpler navigation

Light Green 3.5km
Uses simple contour and point features. Ideal for improvers as the navigational difficulty begins to increase.

Very Short Green 2.9km
Hard navigational difficulty, but reduced physical challenge. Mostly used by older adults wanting a short and technically challenging course, but with less physical challenge than longer courses

Junior/Student: £8.00/£9.00

Young adults under 26 pay junior rates, as do Students if they tick the 'Are you a Student?' box on the entry form.

Pairs / Groups / Families running together should make a single entry. Enter the name of your lead navigator then add the additional names in the box below. There is a final box for your group / family name that will be displayed on the results (otherwise it will be the lead navigator's name). You get one map with your entry, and can request up to 4 additional maps (towards bottom of form) at £1 each.

Timing Device (Dibber) Hire - SI dibbers are available to hire free of charge but there is a £30 charge if lost. SI Air dibbers may be hired for £2.50. Replacement charge £60 if lost.

Start times should be selected when entering. Start times for white, yellow and red courses at the near start are unallocated - just select '11:00 - 13:00'

Shadowing - if you are following ('shadowing') another runner but not competing, you can order an extra map (£1 per map).
