59 years on, the November Classic builds on its reputation for first class orienteering in the heart of the New Forest, this year in Hollands Wood

Incorporating UKOL League and a selection race for Junior Interland 2027

Entries are taken by Age Class. Colour classes are offered for those wishing to run out of age class. UKOL points are available to those running in their age class. No points are awarded to seniors when running up. M/W14 and below can run up to M/W16. UKOL rules.

All courses will be on a map scale of 1:10,000 with contours at 5m intervals and control description over printed.

Juniors are under 21 on 31st December.

Novice fees are charged for senior entry on Courses 10 (Orange), 11 (Yellow) and 12 (White).

Junior fees apply to those aged under 21 on 31st December 2026.

For drivers there is a car park charge of £4.00 collected as part of this online entry process.

The event will use the SI Timing system. If you hire an SI Dibber you are responsible for its safe return. The charge for a lost dibber is £32 for a standard, £68 for a SIAC (touch free).

Start times will be within the range 09.30 – 12.30.
Courses close: 14.30

There is a 900m walk to the start and finish which crosses a main A road. This crossing will be controlled by temporary traffic lights which will be marshalled.

Start Times
You will be able to select your preferred start time as part of the entry process. In the lead up to the event we will review all start times and may need to make small adjustments. Once finalised, start times will be displayed on Racesignup and sent to you with the Final Details.
Event Cancellation or Postponement
Cancellation is the last resort. However if very bad weather is forecast or some unforeseen event makes it necessary to cancel a notice will be placed on the SOC website. If the event is cancelled SOC reserves the right to retain part of the entry fee to cover cost already incurred.
Dogs
Dogs are allowed in the car park field and assembly area, but must be under control at all times (TBC). Please clean up any mess.

Dogs are not allowed on the courses.
