Event Information

Welcome to the second annual Oxford Town v Gown race!

Organised by OUOC, this will be an exciting competition between OUOC and TVOC + friends of both clubs, though all are welcome!

Assembly and finish will be at St Anne's College, with the start in University Parks. Starts 10.00-12.00 at one minute intervals. The course is ~5-6km optimal route.

When asked for what team you are competing for, you have a choice between "Town", "Gown" and "N/A". All are welcome at the event but if you are not a member of TVOC/OUOC, do not live in the Oxfordshire area, or were not specifically invited then please select your team as N/A!

To keep the area fresh, a few artificial barriers will be deployed to the course area. There is one novel barrier which is sure to challenge everyone's route planning skills - keep an eye out for the final details to find out more!

Due to safeguarding restrictions on university events, this event is for ages 18+ only. If you are planning to bring under 18s they MUST be accompanied AT ALL TIMES both on and off course.

Please note that, if you are not a member of British Orienteering, you won’t be covered by the organisation’s public liability insurance for this event. You’re very welcome to take part, but please be aware that you do so at your own risk. For example, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the event, you would not be covered by British Orienteering’s insurance.
