Refund Policy
You may withdraw from the event up until 23:59 on 23-11-2025. Your entry fee will be held as a credit to be redeemed when you next enter an NWO event.
Timing System
The timing system being used is SportIdent (SI).
Controls will be SIAC enabled for those with compatible dibbers (unless otherwise notified on the day of the event). Hire dibbers will be SI-Card 8 (non-SIAC).
Map
Scale 1:7,500, 5m contours. Based on 2021 Map with updates.
Overprinted with course on waterproof paper with control descriptions on the front. Yellow and Orange courses will have written descriptions; Blue and Green have pictorial descriptions. Loose control descriptions for all courses will be available at the start.
Terrain
Open downland with some gorse bushes, scattered trees and White Horse monument.
Courses
All course distances/climbs/controls are provisional and subject to final planning/controlling amendments.
Hazards
Fences must only be crossed at marked points.
Steep slopes and cattle will be encountered. If hang gliders are present please keep uphill to them and their landing area.
Results
Results, Splits and Routegadget will be available on the North Wiltshire Orienteers website as soon as practicable after the event

Please make yourself aware of and abide by the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct.
Clothing and equipment
Dogs
Dogs allowed in the registration area only but must be kept on leads. Dogs are not permitted on the courses due to the presence of cattle.
Safety
Insurance
The British Orienteering insurance policy provides public liability cover for all competitors registered for this event.
PLEASE NOTE: From January 2026 participants who are not members of British Orienteering will not be covered by British Orienteering’s public liability insurance. Please make sure that you renew your membership by then or consider joining if you are not already a member. Non-members will still be charged a supplement to cover increased levies payable by NWO.
Medical Conditions
If you have a high risk medical condition you want the organisers to be aware of please download and complete this form and place it in a sealed envelope with your name on it. This can be left at registration. Envelopes will only be opened if required for a medical emergency. Unopened envelopes should be collected after the event. Any unclaimed envelopes will be destroyed after the event.

Cancellation Policy
NWO will make every effort to ensure the event goes ahead as planned. However, should the event be cancelled, NWO reserves the right to retain part of the advance entry fees to meet costs already incurred or committed.
