A chance for Southampton Orienteering Club members to enjoy a competitive event in this lovely country park

Our first event since lockdown and a chance not only to get out for a competitive run but also for us as a club to check our new systems for orienteering in a COVID-secure manner.

Senior Novice: £2.50
Junior: £2.50

Juniors are under 25 on 31st December.

Event Information

Location and Directions
The event centre is in Royal Victoria Country Park, SO31 4NA. Drive past the chapel and park alongside the chapel field. The parking fee is £2.50 for one hour, £5.00 for two hours. Pay at the payment machine just before leaving. The payment machine takes card payment.

Registration: 17:50 - 19:05

Start times: 18:00 - 19:15

Courses close: 20:00

Conduct
Please make yourself aware of and abide by the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct. Key considerations include:

Acting as an ambassador of the sport of orienteering at all times and considering how your actions may appear in the eyes of landowners or members of the public;

Observing social distancing at all times;

Use your own hand sanitizer on arrival and departure.

Online entry only at racesignup.co.uk. Entries close Tuesday 25th August. No entry on the day.

Timing System
EMIT Touch-free on loan from EMIT UK. Free eTag hire.

Scale 1:5,000. Contour interval 5m. Most recent revision January 2018.

Facilities
Toilets are available.

Clothing and equipment
Full leg cover must be worn. Trail shoes are recommended.

Dogs
Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.

Fences
Fences must not be crossed.

Results
Results and Routegadget will be available on the club website.
