Controls (checkpoints) are very easy to find, mostly on paths, ideal for younger children and complete beginners.

Controls are on or near paths with some route choice. Good for progressing juniors and adults who are reasonably confident reading a map.

You must not attend if you or a member of your household has COVID-19 symptoms, or if you have been asked to isolate by NHS Test and Trace.

You must adhere to the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct.

Please arrive at the event in your orienteering kit, and where possible travel home to change.

Parking
Parking space is limited so cars will be parked close together in the Scout Hut car park. Take particular care when exiting your vehicle that there are no other participants outside their vehicle adjacent to you. Remain in your car until the immediate area near to your car is clear.

The event centre including Download is within the grounds of the Scout Hut. The start and finish are within 100m of the main parking areas in Leafield Lane, including the Scout Hut

Starts
It is a Punching Start. There are two starts adjacent to each other but more than 2m apart. Start 1 on the left is for Orange and Green course competitors. Start 2 on the right for Yellow and Blue competitors. Only one person is allowed for each start minute interval at each Start. No more than 4 people to be queueing at any time at each of the Starts.

You should make every reasonable effort to arrive at the event in time for your allocated start window

Control descriptions are printed on the map. Loose control descriptions are available online as a pdf from the front event page of the DFOK website but will not be available at the event.

At the start and during your run please remember to social distance. Please move away from the map box after collecting your map. At control sites do not touch the control, and move through quickly.

Finish and Download
It is a Punching Finish. Do not congregate at the Finish. After finishing, please proceed directly to Download but ensure you rest a few moments to gather yourself and to try to control any droplet/aerosol emission before downloading. Download will be by the competitor. Your splits print out will be handed to you. Hired SI and SIAC dibbers should then be deposited in a pink container nearby.

Results will not be on display at the event but you can access them on DFOK website after the event www.dfok.co.uk
