Goldsworth Park and Horsell Urban

Monday 30th August

The event takes place at Goldsworth Park Recreation Ground, Woking, GU21 3RT (public car park, Wishbone Way) - signed from the junction of Lockfield Drive and Kirkland Avenue (grid ref SU972591). CP at grid ref SU979592. What3Words - amuse.combining.lovely.
Goldsworth Park is a late 20th century residential mix of paths, alleyways, roads and open spaces among over 4500 houses, creating a challenging and fast orienteering environment. The four longest senior courses will visit a new eastern extension to Horsell Village, not previously used for orienteering. The route choices through the quieter streets, village centre and fringes of common land provide a contrast to the intricate housing developments and recreational spaces within Goldsworth Park. The area was last used for competition in July 2016 (see SN website results pages for link to Routegadget).

All the usual SEOUL courses. Climb is minimal. Sportident timing will be used with SIAC touch-free enabled. Course 6 crosses some quiet residential roads with minimal slow moving traffic. Course 7 is traffic free. Those under 16 who wish to run on courses 1-5 must be accompanied by an adult due to road crossings.

Dogs are permitted on leads in the car park but not on the courses.
