Event Information

COVID-19
Whilst restrictions have been lifted, COVID is very much still in circulation and we encourage a continued responsible approach to orienteering events. People have different risk tolerances and we like to be mindful of, and to respect, others' personal choices as normality returns.
Please do not attend if you or a member of your household has COVID-19 symptoms, if you have been asked to isolate by NHS Test and Trace, or if you are required to quarantine having been on holiday.

Please make yourself aware of and abide by the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct (revised August 2021).

Travel to the event
There are 2 railway stations in Guildford. The event centre is at W3W ///flags.unions.answer about a 1.5 mile walk from the mainline station or the smaller London Road station. There is also a station at Shalford which is a slightly shorter walk away. See Final Details for more information.

Car Parking (there is no organised parking for orienteers)
It should be possible to find parking in Guildford that is within a mile of the event, without upsetting local residents (please park sensitively). The Millbrook Car Park, A281, Guildford GU1 3XJ and the Castle Car Park, Sydenham Rd, Guildford GU1 3RW are both within a mile. See Final Details for more information.

Toilets
There will be portaloos at the event centre.

Dogs
Well-behaved dogs under close control are welcome but please keep them on a lead while you are going through the Start.

Medical conditions
Competitors take part at their own risk. If you have an existing Medical Condition of which the Organisers should be aware, please complete a Medical Form which can be downloaded from the British Orienteering website and hand in at Download/Enquiries in a sealed envelope marked with your name and "Confidential Medical Form for GO 20/02/22 event only". This will be opened only if you require medical treatment and are not conscious. It will be destroyed at the end of the event.

Refund Policy
This event is currently permitted under the BOF Covid-19 guidance. If for some reason this changes we will do our utmost to postpone to a date within the following weeks; if you inform us that you are unable to attend on that date you will get a credit for the full value you have paid against a future GO event, or you can request a refund. If we cannot hold the event on a postponed date and we have to cancel you will also get a credit for the full value you have paid against a future GO event, or you can request a refund.
