Swim Sywell Challenge
Sunday 19th June
Swim Sywell - multiple distance Open Water Swimming. Challenge yourself from 400metres - 3200metres and fundraise for Cransley Hospice.
Northamptonshire Sport are delighted to be partnering with Cransley Hospice Trust for this event. Purchasing a ticket for the open water swim will make a small contribution to Cransley Hospice Trust once the event costs have been covered. Where you can really make a difference and support Cransley Hospice Trust is to sign up to the swim and fundraise. Share with your family and friends and ask them to sponsor you. Raising £120 or more for Cransley Hospice Trust which is the average cost of a nurse’s day shift will help to develop and support specialist end of life care for patients with complex needs, whether this is in the hospice or their own home. Minimum age requirements
The minimum age to enter each of the distances is as follows:
12+ = 400metres and 800metres
15+ = 1600metres
16+ = 3200metres
Age is on event day.
Registration
Sunday 19th June - from 10:00
Timing
Swimmers will start:
3200m challenge = 10:30
1600 challenge = 10:45
800m & 400m challenge = 11:00
First Aid
A mobile medical crew will be on standby throughout the event. There will also be a on-water safety team on the water throughout.
Toilets
There are toilet facilities in the park, plus additional portable facilities.
Clothing and Equipment
Don't forget: Wetsuit and/or Tow Float.
