Morden Hall Park

Morden Hall Park comprises 50 ha of former deer park spanning the River Wandle. This historic estate is owned and managed by the National Trust.
Former deer park with historic stables, mill & other buildings. Bisected by many channels of the River Wandle (which must be crossed only at bridges). Small areas of woodland. Full leg cover advised – you will encounter nettles & long grass.

Short (c 2.5k) or Long (c 4.5k) courses are available. NB Actual running distances will be further.

Juniors are under 21 on 31st December.

Entry fees are £5 for members of British orienteering and £7 for non-members. Students and U21s £3 . You will need an SI card to record your time. If you do not have one there is £1 hire fee.
Event Information

COVID-19
You must not attend if you or a member of your household has COVID-19 symptoms, if you have been asked to isolate by NHS Test and Trace. If you have to withdraw your entry for any of these reasons you will be given a full refund.

Public Transport
Use foot entrance at jct of Aberconway Rd & Morden Hall Road (A297). Morden underground station 300m, Phipps Bridge tram stop 400m.

Parking
Morden Hall Park car park is also available - free for the first 1.5 hours then £1.50 per hour. Parking is free for NT members.

Map
1:4000 scale. ISSOM. Updated for the Park Race by Mike Elliot.
Maps will be overprinted and waterproof and have control descriptions printed on them (no loose descriptions will be available).

Starts
Registration from 18.00. Starts from 18.15 – 19.15. Turn up and go. Start at minimum 30 second intervals depending on numbers. Courses close at 20.00.

SI/SIAC
Controls will be SIAC enabled but you must punch the Start and Finish.

Safety
Full leg cover advised – you will encounter nettles & long grass.
