The area consists of a mix of mature forest and open heath land, overlaid with a complex mixture of paths and sandy areas. A number of defined contour slopes are complemented with smaller intricate contour detail

Terrain
Long Valley South near Aldershot; a prime orienteering area in the South of England, last used for an open orienteering National event in 2010. The area consists of a mix of mature forest and open heathland, overlaid with a complex mixture of paths and sandy areas. A number of defined contour slopes are complemented with smaller intricate contour detail.

Public Transport: Nearest stations is Farnborough with a bus transfer to Aldershot station which is 2.2km walk from the event
Courses
Sportident timing will be used. SIAC touch-free will be enabled.
Light Green, Green, Short Blue, Blue and Short Brown will be used for the Junior Interland selection races.

Start times: 10.00 - 12:30 with a 5 minute break around 11am for Remembrance Sunday
YOU WILL BE ALLOCATED A START TIME WITHIN THE 30 MINUTE BLOCK THAT YOU SELECT. START TIMES WILL BE EMAILED OUT AND AVAILABLE ON THE SN WEBSITE PRIOR TO THE EVENT.
Start / Finish within 2 min walk of parking/assembly. Courses close 14.30. Please choose a start time that will enable you to finish and download by course close time.
