The area has not been used since 2016, so we are pleased that National Trust are again allowing us to hold an event in this excellent area.

Directions/Parking
It is recommended to approach from either the Birchanger Green Roundabout (take East exit to Takeley) or A120 Dunmow West Interchange (take Southwestern exit to Takeley)
From B1256 in Takeley Street, turn into the road opposite the Green Man pub (at the brown sign). Follow this straight road for 3/4 mile to the entrance car park which will be on your right. Car parking is in Elgins Car Park.

Ancient royal hunting forest managed by the National Trust. Large areas of mature runnable woodland and open parkland. The area has not been used since 2016.
1:10,000, 5m contours, printed on waterproof paper updated for the event
The various Out of Bounds areas MUST be respected to ensure continued use of the woods.

Event centre with Registration, Dibber Collection, Download and First Aid is in Shell House Visitor Centre.
NT café and toilets in main visitor area.
