Event Information

Covid-19
Entrants should not attend the event if they have any reason to think they may spread the virus. Official restrictions have been lifted but Covid-19 is still in circulation and we encourage a continued responsible approach at our events. People have different risk tolerances and we wish to respect all personal choices as normality returns.

Entrants should be aware of, and abide by, the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct (revised August 2021).

Car parking
What 3 words for the Puttenham Common Top Car Park: ///amuses.sprint.wordplay. There is a 1.9m height barrier.

Toilets
There are no toilets at the event.

Dogs
Well-behaved dogs on a lead in the car park and through the Start please.

Terrain and map
An area of typical Surrey heathland with a mix of largely deciduous woodland and open areas of heather and grassland. The terrain is undulating with some steep slopes. There is bracken in many parts of the common, however this is starting to flatten and can be crossed with ease in most instances. There are many rabbit holes which should be avoided!

Scale 1:10000. Contour interval 5m. Map corrections 2022 by this event's planners, Richard and John Collyer. A4 overprinted on waterproof paper.

Medical conditions
Competitors take part at their own risk. If you have an existing Medical Condition of which the Organisers should be aware, please complete a Medical Form which can be downloaded from the British Orienteering website and hand in at Download/Enquiries in a sealed envelope marked with your name and "Confidential Medical Form for GO event 09/10/22 only". This will be opened only if you require medical treatment and are not conscious. It will be destroyed at the end of the event.
