10 controls. Mostly on paths, but corners can be cut. Suitable for improvers.

7 controls. All on paths. Suitable for beginners.
Entry
Enter before 4th December to guarantee a run on the course of your choice. After the 4th the map numbers will be set and we'll be offering a small number of late entries on each course.
So, if you want to guarantee your entry, enter before the 4th December. Also note that the overall numbers are limited. When the event is full, it`s full and no more entries will be accepted.
Location and parking
Registration/Download at Godshill Village Hall, SP6 2LW, SU 175 149. Parking at the Fighting Cocks PH SP6 2LL by kind permission of the landlord. You will be sharing with patrons of the pub. Please park carefully at the east side of the car park, and leave a gap of 10 metres from the boundary fence with the bungalow.
Start and Finish are close together, near Godshill Cricket Pitch, 400m from parking. Clothing dump near Finish.
Travel
Please car share wherever possible. You can sign up to the Car Sharing scheme - login to the event on Racesignup to join.
Facilities
Toilet facilities will be found at Godshill Village Hall, Registration & Download. Please remove orienteering shoes (studs/muddy shoes) before entering hall. Please avoid using the pub toilet faciilites, unless drinking/dining there afterwards.
As parking is being kindly provided by the Fighting Cocks PH, we would strongly encourage participants to make use of the pub's excellent food and drink offering for refreshments.
If parking at the pub, please do not picnic in the car-park.

Road Crossings
Please use the designated road crossing which will be marked, between the Fighting Cocks PH and pond when going/returning to and from start and finish.

Map
Scale 1:10,000, 5m contours, selected revisions to paths and vegetation.
Control descriptions will be printed on the map. Loose control descriptions will be available at the Start. The Yellow course has text control descriptions. All other courses have IOF control descriptions.
There is no legend on the map.
Terrain and Out of Bounds
Terrain is generally runnable being mostly open heathland.
There are a number of small out of bounds areas for ecological reasons. These are marked as Out of Bounds on the map. Please make every effort to avoid entering these areas.
Dogs
Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
Results
The results will be posted on the SOC website as soon as possible after the event.
