Join us at Swinley East on Saturday 3rd December. It is a lovely fast area with a good network of paths to aid navigation. Your fine navigation skills will be challenged with the many point feature controls. All are welcome to come and try orienteering at this event

Drive slowly and take care when driving along the forest road to the Car Par. The area is popular with members of the public. Please give Runners, Cyclists, Pedestrians, Dogs, Horses and Riders plenty of room.

Terrain
Swinley East is a flat and fast area of mixed terrain with a distinct network of forest rides and paths. The area is a commercial forest operated by Crown Estates with separate blocks of runnable forest, felled area and new plantation. The area has significant bracken which may challenge both fine navigation and running speed. The level of challenge will depend on how much the bracken has died back by the 3rd December. Within the individual blocks of terrain there are a variety of point features to challenge your fine orienteering skills.
