A friendly local event in East Lothian
JMCP is a wonderful area for orienteering although it was ravaged by Storm Arwen in 2021. There is still a good path network and we are fortunate to be able to use the the fringe of dunes covered by spiky marram grass and Spike Island for the more technical courses which provides a navigational challenge.

White 1.9km 10m climb
The easiest course, with controls on paths.
Suitable for children and family groups.
Yellow 2.8km 20m climb
Fairly easy, uses linear features like paths and streams.
Suitable for newcomers, children and family groups.
Orange 3.7km 30m climb
More challenging - use of compass and route choice.
Suitable for adult newcomers, children and families.
Green 4.6km 40m climb
More challenging navigation including route choice.
Suitable for more experienced orienteers.

Juniors are under 21 on 31st December. The lower fee applies to members of the Scottish Orienteering Association or British Orienteering who enter early!
