Orienteering Edinburgh Series

From this page you can enter one or more of the events in the Spring 2023 Orienteering Edinburgh Series being staged by local orienteering clubs.

Race #3 Thursday 25th May
Race #4 Thursday 1st June
Race #5 Thursday 8th June
Race #6 Thursday 15th June

Please enter in advance if you can and ideally by 4pm on the day of any event so we know you're coming along. You can still enter in person on the day up to 6pm though there will be a handling charge for that.

Entering in advance helps us have enough maps and ensure we have enough helpers to welcome you.

On the entry form you will have to create a Race Sign Up account and then you will be able to enter either of the 2 courses on offer on any of the 6 dates above. You can repeat the entry process multiple times (for other runners or other dates) before paying for all the entries together. Or revisit this site at a later date to enter future events.

If you'd like to run with a friend you can enter as a pair for the same fee. Just enter the second name in the box provided on the entry form.

You will receive a confirmation email from ESOC (Edinburgh Southern Orienteering Club) the local orienteering club staging the first 6 races in the series.

Once the first entry has been accepted, an entry list will appear at the bottom of this page.

Full details are on the event webpage. Please read these before you enter and again on the day of an event to check for updates, in case the weather has affected the event. If not just turn up in Festival Square any time between 4-6pm, preferably before 5:30pm if it's your first time.

For regular orienteers – remember that some parts of Edinburgh are embargoed because of the World Orienteering Championships next year. Check out the embargoed areas and avoid them. The area for these events is adjacent to one of the areas but you have no need to go into the embargoed areas to take part in these events
