Course Timings
The course closure time is 13.00. Please start in plenty of time to allow yourself time to finish before 13.00

Location
This year we have the use of the Bramshaw Village Hall small committee room which is accessed by going around the right of the main hall. The entrance to the committee room is then on your left had side.
As this is a popular area for orienteering we would like to maximise the number of people able to take part in the event, despite parking limited to 50 spaces due to sharing the hall with another group.
Please help us to do this by opting for one of the following:
-Share your car with family or friends who are also competing.
-use the car share function on racesignup to find someone to give a lift to or to get a lift from.
-Park in a nearby car park and walk to the Bramshaw Village Hall.
On the entry form you will be asked to state whether you are a driver or a passenger in a car. There are only 50 parking spaces available and our car park attendant will check drivers in at the gate. Please park in the area to the right of the hall.

Road Crossings
The Blue and Green courses cross a relatively quiet forest road. However please look out for cars and bicycles coming down the slight incline. Under 14s on these courses must run with or be shadowed by an adult.

The Short Green course crosses a private driveway and is suitable for experienced Juniors without an accompanying adult.

All competitors should take great care crossing these roads.

Map and Terrain
1:10,000 map on A4 waterproof paper, 5m contours.
Mixed area of runnable woodland, open heathland, path network, with intricate landforms in some parts. Many branch hides of various shapes and sizes have appeared but most are not mapped. The bracken remains high in some places, particularly on South facing slopes. The ground is particularly dry, making water/marsh features appear less distinct. Some large trees have fallen across paths however these are passable via smaller paths found to the side (or by climbing over.)
The Short Green course has an advised stream crossing point which will be marked with red and white tape. Competitors on the Blue course should be aware that some of the controls are close to the map border.

Start
Punching start (turn up and run if you have a dibber.) Start and Finish are both close to the event center where you can pick up a hired dibber.

Clothing
Full leg cover must be worn. Whistles should be carried. In adverse weather we may ask you to wear a cagoule or similar waterproof top.

Bio-security
Please come to the event with clean and dry shoes and clothing. After your run, please follow the guidance that helps protect our precious environment.
Before leaving the event check your clothing and equipment and remove any mud, soil or leaf litter. Once home thoroughly clan your footwear and clothing and then leave it to dry for as long as possible.

Hazards
Some controls are close to the map border.
Please be aware of the risk of ticks and Lymes disease.
The area is frequented by ponies, livestock and deer and the usual precautions to avoid infection apply.

Safety
The safety bearing is south to pick up one or other of the roads running East-West or Southeast-Northwest.

Photography and O-Safe
There are no official photographers for this event. Photography i not allowed in the toilets or any "changing area" including the car park. Any concerns with photography or the behavior of anyone toward a child or young adult must be reported to the event organiser or other official.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, play your part report any concerns and put good practice into effect

Facilities
The event centre including parking and toilets is at Bramshaw Village Hall.
Start and Finish is approximately 300m from the Hall.
This year we have use of the Committee Room for Emit Collection and Download. Please park to the right of the Hall and enter the Committee Room from the rear of the building. We are sharing the hall with another group so our parking allocation is limited to 50 parking spaces.

Timing
Help, advice and EMIT hire cards: 09:45 - 12:00
Starts : 10:00 - 12:00
Courses close: 13:00
Please make every effort to time your run so that you finish before the courses close at 13.00 and we start to take controls in.

Dogs
Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.

Helpers
As always we will need helpers to put on this event. If you are able to help, please contact helenamandaaa@gmail.com and Helen will give you the code to enable you to claim a 50% discount on your race entry. Please also state if you have a preference for a particular role.
