Parking/Transport/Facilities
The car park spaces for Scotney on Saturday are now fully booked and we cannot accept any more bookings for the event unless you have parking booked on the National Trust's car park or alternatively if you can car share with someone else.
Parking at the National Trust car park at Scotney Castle. Postcode TN3 8JN. Please note parking needs to be booked in advance on the National Trust website to guarantee a space. Book your parking.
Spaces are released on a four-week rolling basis. If you are a National Trust member car parking is free. For non-members the cost is £4.50

The Coach House tea-room sells a wide range of snacks, hot and cold lunch items, hot and cold drinks, cakes, biscuits, ice-creams, and children's meals. The menu changes daily and seasonally. Opening hours are on the website. Indoor and outdoor seating available.
Scotney is stepping back to the Swinging Sixties starting this Saturday with a decorated Christmas house full of twinkling trees, memorabilia from years gone by, tinsel, colour, lights, feasting and fun. For younger visitors there is Carrot & Co Scotney snowmen family-friendly outdoor trail and the opportunity to write to Santa. Click here for further information
Toilets and changing facilities for babies and toddlers are available by the courtyard tea-room and by the Scotney property office. Accessible toilets are in the courtyard only.
Newcomers and Beginners
If you are new to Orienteering and would like some additional help before attending an event, please check the appropriate box on the entry form and the event organiser will be in touch. There are also some helpful youtube introductory videos to watch. One by a nearby London club Newcomer Guide and another from a Manchester based club Getting Started
Timing, Start/Finish and Race Information
Contactless electronic timing enabled for the event, (SIAC), although a basic timing dibber can also be used, (basic timing devices provided free of charge if you don't have one). Punching Start & Finish.
Enquiries and download will be next to the Car park. Please remember to download before leaving.
Start is 650m from the Car Park and will pass the Finish on route.

You must adhere to the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct.
Medical conditions
Competitors take part at their own risk. If you have an existing Medical Condition of which the Organisers should be aware, please complete a Medical Form which can be downloaded from the Event Details on the Saxons website and hand to the Organiser in a sealed envelope. This can be collected once you have downloaded, or will be destroyed at the end of the event.
Results
Results will not be on display at the event. Split prints available. Final results will be posted to Saxons website after the event.
