Directions
Parking in Centre Car Park off A345, free after 6pm.

Registration in The New Inn, High Street (W3W: lasted.something.fall ) which can be accessed on foot via the North end of car park. Follow tapes & turn left along the High Street.

1:5,000 on A4 waterproof paper, 5m contours.
Terrain - Mixed old and new town with many alleyways! The A345 cuts through the town, with some fast bits, so great attention is needed when crossing this Main road - at crossings where possible, please. Cross other roads carefully too, please.

Score course - Odds / Evens
One hour Odds/Evens Score event, as per WNL guidelines. 26 controls to collect. Control Descriptions will be printed on map and can also be collected at the Start . N.B. Juniors under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult (over 18). Punching start Hired SI Dibbers can be picked up in the Pub. Turn up for your allocated slot time, ready to run; those with their own Dibber, can go straight to the Start; otherwise collect your Dibber and go to the Start. Sign in with the Start marshal & go! Everyone must report to Download (in the New Inn Pub) afterwards.

Conduct
Please make yourself aware of and abide by the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct.

Acting as an ambassador of the sport of orienteering at all times and considering how your actions may appear in the eyes of landowners or members of the public;

Times
Arrival times: - 18.00 to 18.40. There is no Registration as such but sign in at the Start.. Hired dibbers can be picked up from the Pub.
The Controller will be at the Start if you have any queries.

Starts: - 18.00 to 18.55. Control Descriptions will be available at the Start.
Start is about 250m from the Pub - taped route, turn right out of the Pub and follow the tapes back to the Main car park. The Start is over on the North east corner.
Please do not crowd around the Start control - sign in with the Start team; Clear & check your dibber; then take a map and Punch the Start control. The other controls are SIAC enabled.

Course closes: - promptly at 20:00 please. Control collectors - come to the Planner in the Pub at 19.50, please.

Facilities
Toilets will be available in the New Inn pub ; Limited First Aid only - be prepared to self administer. No water at the event, so please bring your own. Drinks and food are available in the Pub.

Menu choices: Steak & Guinness pie; Scampi & chips; Cheese & bacon burger; Sausage & mash; Pizza (Pepperoni or Veggie) - all £11.95
Please order and pay before you go out, if possible, please.

Safety
All competitors must wear hi-viz tops & have sufficient lights to complete their course (take a spare!). A whistle is advisable. This is an Odds/Evens Score event with 26 controls - the points values are printed on the map. Under 16 year olds MUST be accompanied by an adult .

Dogs
Dogs are welcome only in the Pub; not at all on the Urban course

Timing System
SIAC enabled controls with gripples. Hired dibbers are in the Pub

Finish and Download
After punching at the Finish - please follow tapes to Download, inside the Pub.
Please actually punch the Finish

Results
Results and Routegadget will be available via Racesignup and later on the Club website, hopefully by late Tuesday or Wednesday.

Risk
Orienteering is an adventure sport; you are responsible for your own safety at the event and must not do anything that puts yourself or others at unnecessary risk.
