This is the third Clyde Spring Evening Event for 2024 at Duchess Woods, Helensburgh. (Nearest station is Helensburgh Upper, c.1.8km)
Car parking is in the Rugby Club overflow car park, into the the main car park then through a gate on the left onto a big area of blaze. Helensburgh Rugby Club, G84 8YJ.
The event will use SI units and will be timed. An SI Dibber is required and can be hired through the entry form.

There are 3 courses: Long; Short and Novice (park only - yellow standard) for beginers and younger children. Novices can go in pairs or family groups.
Starts from 17:30-18:45. Courses close at 20:00.

A chance to explore this picturesque wood, situated between Helensburgh and Rhu. Far more interesting than the impression a simple walk around the loop would give, the compact wood has burns, some steep gradients and pleasant bluebells. Definitely worth exploring.

Course is designed for novices and younger children (yellow standard). Participants can do the course in pairs or family groups if desired.

Long - 4.1 km
Short - 2.5 km
Novice - 1.4 km - for beginners and younger children.

Entry Fees

Long and Short Courses:
Adults: £6:00 Juniors & Students: £3:50

£1:00 discount for British Orienteering Members

Novice Course: £2:50 for all, including pairs and family groups

Hire of SI Dibber: £1:00
