Using Witley Common from a different start and end location and adding on the newly-mapped Mare Hill Common gives a fresh look to this lovely area.

Standard Entry Fees:

Single Juniors £3 (1 dibber. 1 map)
Single Junior with helping Adult £4 (1 dibber, 2 maps)

SN Adults members on Light Green or Short Blue £5 (need discount code)
British Orienteering member Adult on Light Green or Short Blue £6 (1 map, 1 dibber)
Adults on Yellow or Orange £4
British Orienteering non-member adults on Light Green or Short Blue (enter "IND" to indicate Independent for your club) £8 (1 map, 1 dibber)
Adult group please enter as "Individual with Helping Adult" £1 surcharge for an extra map

Dibber (electronic timing device you need to carry) hire: free

Entries after midnight the Sunday before the event (subject to map availability) will have a £1 surcharge for adults and 50p for juniors.
Event Information

How to Enter
For a Junior Pair, please enter the first junior in the "First Name" box and the second junior in the "Surname" box. If there is a helping adult, the adult does not need to be entered separately

The "Individual with Helping Adult" class can be used by adult groups who want an extra map. The helping adult does not need to be entered separately

SN adult £5 (code required. For use with adult entries on Light Green or Short Blue courses only)

Entry Deadlines
Entering by 11.59pm on the Sunday before the event will guarantee you a map and a discounted entry fee. Map limits will then be set, and prices will increase by £1 per adult and 50p per junior.
Online entries will stay open until last start times or until the maps run out. Payment for Entry on the Day (EOD) will be via racesignup.co.uk. Unfortunately, we are unable take cash payments.
Name substitutions for those pre-entered can be made on the day at no cost.

Location of Enquiries and Download
Enquiries and download tents will be in Barrow Hills School grounds

Start
The start will be across the road from the school, on Mare Hill Common. Follow the red and white tapes to get there).
You will need to visit registration if you need to pick up a dibber. Otherwise, you can go straight to the start as you will have pre-entered on racesignup
At the start, there will be people there to help if you need it.

Start Times
Starts are open 10-11.30am. Please choose a start time to ensure you can finish before the courses close at 12.30pm.
Start times have been added to your sign up to prevent long queues at the start. However, these are advisory only. We won't be checking!

Parking
We will be parking in Barrow Hills School, Roke Lane, Witley. Postcode GU8 5NY. There will also be football matches on at the school, so please follow the directions of the marshals to ensure you park in the areas allocated for orienteering traffic. Please drive slowly through the school grounds. The exit for cars is through a different, automatic gate. Please follow the signs.

Facilities
The school have very kindly agreed to let us use their toilet facilities and water fountains. Please remove muddy and spiked shoes before using the facilities.

Dogs
Dogs must be on leads in the school grounds. Please clean up after your dog.

Safety and Risks
A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser. Competitors are responsible for their own personal safety and for assessing their own abilities to complete the course. Neither Southern Navigators, the landowner or British Orienteering can be held liable for any accident or other incident arising while undertaking the event. Participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event - including clothing appropriate for the conditions, and if required, a means of summoning assistance (e.g. phone or whistle).
After forest orienteering, please check thoroughly for ticks and remove immediately if you find them. Lyme Disease is on the increase in the South East!

Insurance: All participants are covered by the British Orienteering third-party liability insurance policy. (NB: This is not a personal injury policy).

Privacy
If you enter an event or activity for which we publish results your name will appear in the results section of this website. In addition we may seek to have the results published elsewhere, e.g. by local newspapers. Read our data protection page to see how we look after your personal data.
