SN Trophy National Event at Mytchett

Terrain
Mytchett is a prime orienteering area in the South of England. The area consists of a mix of fast mature forest and some open heathland, overlaid with a complex mixture of paths and evidence of military exercise usage. A number of defined contour slopes are complemented with smaller intricate contour detail.

Entries
The late entry fee starts on November 16th. Maps will be ordered on that day. Entries will stay open until Wednesday 18th Nov but will be subject to map availability.

Parking will be on the area. Entry location GU16 6DD Grid ref 51.286, -0.719
Public Transport: Nearest station is Brookwood train station followed by a 2.2km walk to the event centre

Courses close 14.30. Please choose a start time that will enable you to finish and download by course close time.

Sportident timing will be used. SIAC touch-free will be enabled.

Important: Non-members are not insured under British Orienteering’s public liability policy. By entering this event, you acknowledge that you are participating at your own risk.

Safety and Risks
A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser. Competitors are responsible for their own personal safety and for assessing their own abilities to complete the course. Neither Southern Navigators, the landowner or British Orienteering can be held liable for any accident or other incident arising while undertaking the event. Participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event - including clothing appropriate for the conditions, and if required, a means of summoning assistance (e.g. phone or whistle). Full leg and torso covering is mandatory to comply with the BOF rules.
Most areas are shared with other members of the public such as dog walkers and cyclists. Please be considerate of other users.
After forest orienteering, please check thoroughly for ticks and remove immediately if you find them. Lyme Disease is on the increase in the South East!

Refund Policy
If you are unable to attend the event, and withdraw your entry before the advertised early entry closing date, please contact events@southernnavigators.com for a refund. Either a full credit can be applied to your Racesignup account for use against future SN events, or a cash refund of your entry fee minus entry processing costs can be given.
The above policy will also be applied if the event has limited entry and you withdraw after early entry has closed AND your entry can be re-sold to another competitor.
In any other case, refunds or credits will not be given except under exceptional circumstances, and only at the club's discretion.

Privacy
If you enter an event or activity for which we publish results your name will appear in the results section of this website. In addition we may seek to have the results published elsewhere, e.g. by local newspapers. Read our data protection page to see how we look after your personal data.
