Kingdom of Fife Orienteers are staging orienteering in the historic city of Dunfermline as part of the Sprintelope series of events.

The event will be a lovely race round Dunfermline passing many of its impressive historic buildings, including the abbey, and the beautiful parks.

The event is informal in its style. The controls to visit will be marked by coloured ribbon, so you know you have got to the right place.

Full details will be on the KFO website in advance of the event. Please read these before the day to check for updates, in case the weather has affected the event. If not just turn up at the Start any time within the start window (6:30 - 7:30pm unless otherwise advertised).

The Start is at the edge of the Viewfield Terrace public car park which is next to the Carnegie Hall.

Course lengths below are straight line distance, not optimal.

Entry on the Day (EOD) will be accepted at the event subject to maps being available. You are encouraged to pre-enter to guarantee a map.

Long 4.2km
Entered: 0
Straight-line distance. Course includes road crossings so U16s must be shadowed.

Short 2.5km
Entered: 0
Straight-line distance. U16s must be shadowed as the courses involve road crossings.


Maps will not be waterproof so if wet please bring a polypocket.

Remember all under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Please include the name of the shadowing adult in the comments section. You can order an extra map if you wish.
Entry Fees
Senior: £3.00/£5.00
Junior/Student: £2.00/£3.00

Juniors are under 21 on 31st December.
Students will be charged the Junior fee if they tick the Are you a Student? box on the entry form.

Pairs / Groups / Families running together should make a single entry, add the second name / group / family name in the comment box, and use the additional maps option to order extra maps as desired.

Dibber Hire - SI dibbers are available to hire free of charge but there is a £30 charge if lost.
