Event Information

Event Centre
Assembly is in a tent near the band stand in Warminster Town Park (W3W: multiples.pepper.drag) This will include Download and where hired dibbers can be picked up. There will also be a small tent for runners to deposit labelled bags.

Car Parking
Parking will be using the Town's car parks - check for charging.
The A360 circles the town; from this, take any road towards the town centre and head for a Town Car park. The two main ones seem to be near the Civic Centre (BA12 8FG GR ST872450 ) or the Station (the Civic Centre one is closest)
Walk through Morrisons Car park to reach the Town Park; if using the Car Park near the Station, walk straight down to the Main High street to avoid the Competition area, please; turn south at the traffic lights to get to the Park.

Map/Terrain
A mixture of urban and parkland/ fields. There may be some placid cows in the Nature Park to the east of the area; just give them a wide berth and run round them.

The Junior courses (6 and 7) will be almost completely within the park - they have a limited Start window as there will be marshals where these two courses have to cross roads.

All senior courses will have pictorial descriptions printed on the map; Courses 6-7 will have text descriptions; course 6 will also have pictorial descriptions.
Loose control descriptions will be available at the Start
Please note that studded shoes are not appropriate as the majority of running is on firm gravel paths, roads or grass. Decent trainers or Trail shoes are ideal.

Safety
Bright and/ or Club tops are requested to be worn, please;
Please observe any OOB areas marked on the map - our continued use of the area depends on our observance of these.
Please cross the roads in the town via the marked crossings

Times
Assembly opens from 11.00 - hired dibbers will be on a table next to Download;
Start times: 11..30 - 13.30
Courses close at 15.30
The Start is 200 meters away from Assembly and the Finish is next to Assembly.

Facilities
We are using the Public toilets in the Boat House ,near Download or next to the Pavilion cafe, further down the Lake
Please bring your own water - water will not be provided
First Aid will be by the Finish with a roving First Aider in case of serious injury out on the courses. There will be an Emergency phone number on the map
Refreshments can be obtained in the Pavilion cafe in the Park or Morrisons is just across the road

Conduct
Please make yourself aware of and abide by the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct.

Dogs
Dogs are not allowed on the courses at all. They can be in the Car park under control on leads. Please clean up after them as necessary.

Timing System
SIAC enabled controls will be attached to features by gripples;
SI dibbers are available for hire £1.50 - they will not be SIAC enabled. Lost dibbers - cost £35.00
(If a control doesn't work, use the attached punch to punch the side of your map)
Hired dibbers can be collected from Download
