Terrain: Mostly urban environment with some fields and grassed areas.
Attire: Shorts and t-shirts. Trail shoes advised but road trainers will be fine. Waterproof jacket if required.
Safety: This is an urban event. Please wear high vis when out on the courses and be aware of moving traffic and other pedestrians.

Timing: Starts from 11.00-12.00. Courses close at 13.00.
Course and score information:
There are two courses.
• The Summer League course is a 60 minute Score course. You gain points for each control visited but you lose 10 points per minute (or part minute) late back.
• The Yellow course, suitable for families, novices & younger juniors, is a short linear course.
The event will use SIAC enabled SI punching.
Food & facilities: There are lots of little cafes in the area, but feel free to bring a picnic - there are picnic tables near the start/finish.

Orienteering is an adventure sport. All competitors take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety.
Insurance: Participants who are not members of British Orienteering are not covered by British Orienteering's public liability insurance. By entering this event, you acknowledge that you are taking part iat your own risk. For example if you were to accidentally injure a member of public or damage any property during the event you would not be covered and would be personally liable.
Cancellation: Cancellation is a last resort, however if very bad weather is forecast or some unforeseen event makes it necessary to cancel, a notice will be placed on the WIM website. We will also send an email via the entry system. If the event is cancelled, Wimborne Orienteers reserve the right to retain part of the entry fee to cover any un-recoverable costs.
