There is on road parking opposite the pub in Clarence Parade, which is free after 6pm.
Food is available in the pub.
No muddy shoes inside the event centre please.
Map/Area
1:4,000 on double-sided A3+ waterproof paper. The map area covers the whole of Southsea Common, the seafront to South Parade Pier and the residential area to the north as well as the Old City area to the Cathedral and Portsmouth Point (Spice Island).
Course
A 1 hour straight score event, as per Wessex Region Night League guidelines. Hired dibbers will be made available in the pub. Controls are SIAC enabled.
Start will be opposite the pub.
Everyone must report to Download in the pub afterwards.
Conduct
Please make yourself aware of and abide by the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct.
Timing
Registration: 17:45 to 19:00
Starts: 18:00 to 19:15
Courses close promptly at 20:15 please.
Facilities
Toilets are available in the pub, which will also be serving food on the night - click here for the special menu for the evening
The pub has requested that you order your food before you run, please ensure that you do this to avoid disappointment.
Safety
All competitors must wear hi-viz tops and have sufficient lights to complete their course. Please take care when crossing any. All juniors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dogs
Dogs are allowed on the courses, but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times. Dogs are not allowed in the event centre.
